Brief Profile:
Mr Avinash Kolekar is pursuing PhD at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Mumbai, India. He has completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli affiliated to Shri Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India. He did his post graduate degree (M.E.) in the area of ‘Heat Power Egineering’ in the year 2004 at Government College of Engineering, Karad from Shri Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India. He worked as lecturer from August 2004 to December 2009 and from January 2010, he is working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Vidya Pratishthan’s College of Engineering (VPCOE) Baramati. He has taught various subjects in the area of Thermal Engineering such as Thermodynamics, I C Engines, Heat Transfer, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Computer Oriented Numerical Methods etc.

He is recipient of QIP fellowship at IIT Bombay for pursing his PhD and scholarship for his post graduate studies from AICTE. He has received “Post Graduate Teacher” recognition from University of Pune. He has shouldered administrative responsibilities like PG Coordinator, student council coordinator, Senior Supervisor for university examination etc. He is member of SAE, ISTE and IET. He is founder coordinator of SAE collegiate club in the institute.
Research Interests:
His research interests are in the area of I C Engines, Alternative Fuels for IC Engines, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Heat Transfer.
